Simplied version of today's events...

Two days ago...

Plane A....Columbia ---- Teterboro ---- Atlanta ---- Columbia.

Yesterday...

Plane B....Seattle ---- Las Vegas ---- Tuscaloosa ---- Atlanta

Plane C....Norman ---- Las Vegas ---- Norman

Moments after Plane C landed in Las Vegas...Plane B took off from Las Vegas for Tuscaloosa! Then went to Atlanta.

Today....morning….

Plane B....Altanta ---- Teterboro

Plane C....Norman ---- Teterboro

Today….afternoon…

Plane B…Teterboro ---- Miami

Place C….Teterboro ---- Norman

So…what’s in Miami? I don’t know. Does it have to do with the report that Stoops is showing interest in UM? Does somebody from Bama need to talk with UM officials? Are there potential assistant coaches in Miami? OR…Are none of these flights connected in any way?

I think we’ll find out soon. Whether it’s Stoops, RR, or somebody else…I have a feeling Bama will have a coach in hours or days…not weeks.

Teterboro is the airport that a lot of smaller private planes use to fly into NYC because they aren't allowed into the international airports. Planes are flying there from Columbia, Norman, and Tuscaloosa because officials/coaches from South Carolina and OU are going to NYC for the college football events there this week. It has nothing to do with UAs coaching search. Bob Stoops is not on our radar, our search is basically down to 2 people, waiting on one and keeping the other interested.

I THINK YOU ARE WRONG AND THE TETERBORO TO MIAMI COULD HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH STOOPS AND THE HURRICANES

Check out another interesting flight from flightaware. Spurrier Sr. has a condo in Hilton Head. It arrived at Dekalb P'tree at 9:20. The other flight headed to NY left at 11:00. I believe its the connections that are interesting not the fact all of the coaches are headed to the same event.

I've got a sinking feeling in my belly about that trip to Miami.

... although it would appear to me that Miami has been recruiting down for the past couple of years.

Bama has at least been recruiting up.

Lets see the same plane that was in Nevada the same time a plane from Norman was Nevada, has now been through Atlanta and Teterboro and is now in Miami.

Hmmmmm

I'll stab at it. How about Randy Shannnon DC at Miami? Kines is up for the Texas DC job I havent heard of any new candidates for that job.

That's an interesting thought BamaBird.

Here's some more. The Norman plane...same one that met the "Air Jets" plane from Seattle that went through T-Town...it was scheduled earlier today to leave NYC at 1 PM.

The "Net Jets" plane didn't arrive until exactly 1 PM however.

Flightaware is now showing that the Norman plane is in the air...however it left at 1:37. That's 37 minutes late from it's earlier scheduled time.

Hummmm...Stoops, Spurrier Jr., Shannon...all on the same plane...all coming to Tuscaloosa.

Man...I hope that's true!! What a team that would be!!

Wait N560RM is heading back to Norman, is Bob on board, oh but wait, the Plane, goes back and forth to Teterboro on a regular basis. I wouldn't be suprised if Teterboro isn't near a big city with a lot of lawyers and financial markets or something like that.... but I guess Teterboro is where coaches go to meet to make deals.

Check out the history of the plane Andrew...it doesn't go to Teterboro on a regular basis.

Since August 6th it has been in Teterboro on...

Sep 12
Nov 8
Nov 14
Dec 3
Dec 5

We lost to Mississippi St. on November 4. So from August 6 to November 7...it was in Teterboro once. Since it has been 4 times, with two trips this week.

That's 1 trip in 3 months...then 4 trips in 2 months...with two this week.

John ... why Teterboro for a fractional ownership NetJets plane based out of Norman OK? Bob Stoops is flying roundtrip to Teterboro all this time? Unlikely especially when the Sooners where playing games during all the weeks mentioned.

Andrew, you're either being sarcastic, or you have good instincts. Teterboro, NJ is a stone's throw from Manhattan. That's why all the activity there. Has nothing to do with Bama's coaching search. All this Stoops talk is crazy. But the owner of this blog may have been put up to it to take pressure away from another coach...
